Interior Design Services in Thane for Complete Homes

Turnkey interior design means one contractor carries the full scope from start to finish: design, materials, every trade, supervision, snag list and handover. You do not have to coordinate separately between a plumber, a tiler, an electrician, a kitchen vendor and a painter. We run it as a single accountable scope, with the founder on every site. Since 2002, we have supervised 500+ projects across Thane and the wider MMR, led by founder Bhawarlal Jyani. A home interior project is 8 to 12 trades working in sequence over roughly 6 to 14 weeks, often in a flat where the family is still living and where the society has rules about working hours, dust and lift use. Planned and supervised properly, the work lasts 10 to 15 years.

What Our Interior Design Service Covers

The trades we sequence under one contract:

Interior design does not start with mood boards. It starts with the structural and service condition of the flat: whether the existing wiring can take a modern kitchen load, whether the bathroom slab has dampness from the unit above, whether the society allows the working hours the job needs.

Room Interior Design — How We Plan Each Space

Room interior design works only when each room is planned around how the family actually uses it, and around the flat's real limits: beam positions, window light, AC points and society rules. This is how we approach the main rooms in a Thane flat.

Living Room and Drawing Room Interior Design

The drawing room carries the most decisions in the flat: the TV unit wall, sofa placement against the window light, the false ceiling and lighting plan, and the balcony connection. In most 2BHK flats the living room is 10×14 to 12×16 ft, so interior design for a small living room is mainly a storage and sightline problem. A slim TV unit, a sofa that does not block the passage, and light laminates or a mirror panel can make the same room feel noticeably larger.

Common living room interior design choices in our Thane projects:

        • Panelled TV feature wall with concealed wiring
        • L-shaped sofa with storage ottomans
        • Gypsum ceiling with cove and strip lighting
        • Crockery unit that doubles as a partition between living and dining

For ceiling options in this room, see our guide on false ceiling designs for the living room.

        Bedroom Interior Design

Bedroom interiors in apartments are decided by the wardrobe wall. Once the wardrobe position is fixed, the bed, side tables and dresser fall into place. A typical scope: bed with hydraulic storage, head position set per the family's preference or Vastu, full-height wardrobe on the side or facing wall, and a dresser near the window light. In larger flats, a luxury bedroom adds a panelled bed wall, PU-finish wardrobes and layered lighting.

Wardrobe types, internals and finishes are covered in detail on our wardrobe and bedroom cupboard designs page, and in our post on wardrobe design ideas for Thane homes.

        Pooja Unit

Most flats do not have a separate pooja room, so the pooja unit is designed into a living room wall or a passage corner: wall-mounted or full-height, usually with a backlit jali panel and base storage. Placement and design options are covered on our Vastu and pooja room design page.

        Kitchen and Bathroom

The kitchen and bathroom are the two rooms where mistakes cost the most to redo, so each has its own detailed page: modular kitchen in Thane covers layouts, materials and hardware; bathroom renovation covers the waterproofing sequence, plumbing and tiles.

The First Decision — Scope Clarity

Is the scope full-flat or room-by-room? Civil included, or only finishes? Brands fixed, or open to substitutions? One continuous project, or phased if cash flow is tight?

We quote against a written scope, not a phone call. The quotation lists every material, brand, hardware item and accessory separately, with no lump-sum line at the bottom. A per-sq-ft rate is harder to compare honestly because it hides what is in and what is out. An item-wise quote is the only kind that cannot quietly grow mid-project. For typical budgets, see our interior design cost guide for Thane (2026).

Civil and Interior in One Contract — Why It Matters

The biggest gap on most renovations is the handoff between the civil contractor and the interior designer. Civil finishes demolition and walls, hands over, and the interior team arrives to find weak waterproofing, electrical points in the wrong positions, or plaster too uneven for a wardrobe to sit flush. The homeowner then pays both teams to fix what the other left.

When civil and interior sit under one accountability, the sequence is planned from the start: wall chases before plaster, bathroom waterproofing cured before tiles, kitchen carcass dimensions checked against the actual wall before fabrication. This coordination is the core of our interior designer in Thane work.

        Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from homeowners planning interiors, civil renovation, kitchens, bathrooms and finishing work in Thane, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

What is the difference between a designer and a contractor?

A designer plans the layout, selects materials and finishes. A contractor executes. Most large firms separate the two and the handoff is where coordination drops. I do both under one scope and supervise the site directly.

        Who supervises the site daily?

I do. The site supervision is not delegated to a project manager who visits weekly. This is the core of why I take on a limited number of concurrent projects.

How do you design a small living room in a 1BHK or 2BHK?

Keep furniture off at least one full wall, use a slim or wall-mounted TV unit, choose light shades for large surfaces, and put storage inside seating instead of adding cabinets. More ideas in our post on interior design tips for small flats in Thane.
