Vastu for Home Interior in Thane — Practical Layout Guidance

Vastu in a built apartment is different from Vastu in a free-standing house: the kitchen position, the main door, the toilet location and the bedroom orientation were all decided by the builder before you arrived. What remains in your control is real and useful — the placement and orientation of furniture, the pooja unit, colours and materials by direction, and the few elements that can genuinely move. We work with the family's preferred Vastu consultant or panditji, build the interior around what they recommend, and stay honest about what the flat structure won't allow. Since 2002, across Thane and the wider MMR, led by founder Bhawarlal Jyani.
Call or WhatsApp +91 9224598745 to discuss your scope.

What Vastu can actually influence in a built apartment

Within your control once the flat is bought: bed orientation, study-desk facing, pooja unit position and direction, wardrobe placement, dining-table position, sofa orientation, mirror placement, colour scheme by direction, and plant and water-feature placement — plus secondary kitchen elements like stove-face direction within the existing layout, sink position relative to the stove, and the fridge and water corners. These are where Vastu and good interior design genuinely co-exist. What cannot move in most apartments: the main door, the toilet location, the kitchen wall and the bedroom walls — and suggesting otherwise to a homeowner isn't honest.

The Conversations We Have at the Planning Stage

When Vastu matters to the family, the conversation happens before the design freezes, not after. Three questions at the site visit:

        • Is there a consultant the family already works with? We work with the consultant, not against — and we want to read their report before quoting.
        • Which elements are non-negotiable? Pooja direction, master-bedroom head position and kitchen stove face tend to be firm; mirror placement and colour-by-direction have more flexibility.
        • Where the flat structure conflicts, what's the compromise? A toilet in the north-east corner can't be moved; the work-around is the remedial element the consultant recommends, not a re-design the building won't permit.

These placements are then built into the interior alongside the rest of the home — see our interior designer in Thane work.

        Common Vastu Placements We Implement

        • Pooja unit — typically north-east, on a raised platform, no shoes nearby, no toilet wall behind; where the north-east is a balcony in a 2BHK, the consultant's alternate position is used.
        • Master bedroom — bed positioned so the head faces south or east; wardrobe on the south or west wall.
        • Kitchen stove — south-east of the kitchen, cook facing east; sink in the north-east.
        • Study or work desk — facing east or north (north for income flow per the traditional reading).
        • Dining table — central, not against the south wall, no beam directly overhead.
        • Bedroom mirror — never facing the bed directly.

Where the flat doesn't allow a placement, we implement the remedy the family's consultant recommends — a colour, a plant, a screen — rather than forcing a layout the structure resists. The locality scope sits on our Vastu-aligned interiors across Thane page.

Vastu for home interior — frequently asked questions

Q1: Do you have an in-house Vastu consultant?

No. I work with the homeowner's preferred consultant or panditji. The interior firm executing the build and the spiritual advisor recommending the placements are two different roles, and I keep them separate.

Q1: What if Vastu and the existing flat structure contradict each other?

Often they do. The honest answer is that some recommendations cannot be implemented in a built apartment. The work-around is the remedy the family's consultant suggests for an unmovable conflict — not a redesign that the building cannot accommodate.
